Hi, I’m Omar—the guy who’s always hiding behind the camera.

I'm a cameraman and Director of Photography (DOP), born and raised in Syria. I studied filmmaking in Damascus, began my career there, then moved to Egypt, and eventually found myself in Romania.

Over the years, I’ve worked on everything from commercials to TV series, films, music videos, and even documentaries. I’ve filmed in the rain, in the desert, and probably in places where I shouldn’t have been filming. But hey, that’s the life of a DOP—always chasing the light, even when it’s hiding.

For me, cinematography isn’t just about pretty pictures—it’s about teamwork. I’ve been lucky to work with some amazing directors and crews. Together, we turn coffee into magic.

There’s still a lot more to explore, and I can’t wait to see where the next shot takes me.
