Iulia is a Romanian film critic and filmmaker. She has a BA in Film Directing and a MA in Film Studies from the National University of Theatre and Film "Ion Luca Caragiale" in Bucharest Romania, where she also coordinates the university's student film magazine, Film Menu. She is currently a PhD student at the same university, her main research interests are gender and labor in socialist Romanian cinema, including both fictional and nonfictional representations.
