Ilinca Straton is a director, screenwriter and Second Assistant Director located in Bucharest, Romania. She graduated from the Faculty of Theatre and Film, Babes-Bolyai University (BA, MA) in Cluj-Napoca (2014-2019). She directed the short film COASTA and has worked as an Assistant Director for several short films. During her time in Cluj-Napoca, she worked for a production company for three years, both in production department, as well as in writing/creative department. In present, she lives in Bucharest and she has accumulated experience as a UPM and AD PA for two feature films, and as a Second Assistant Director for several feature films, TV series and TV commercials. In 2024, she co-directed her first short documentary. She works as a tutor in an educational film program called CinEd from 2022, and she also has experience as an Industry Guest Coordinator in film festivals (Transilvania International Film Festival, 2022). Since 2022, she collaborates with Dilema Veche publication for writing film reviews or film articles.
