Eugen Dediu is a graduate of UNATC “I.L. Caragiale”, Film and TV Directing, BA, MA and PHD. He has been working in the film industry since 2018, having written and directed several short films in both student and independent contexts, which were screened in multiple film festivals around the world (Stockholm IFF, Jihlava IDFF, Chelsea IFF, MIFEC being just a few). He has directed four short fiction films and two short documentaries.
In 2019, he was one of the finalists of the EUandME short film competition (funded by the European Union), and in 2020 & 2021, he was part of Sarajevo Talents at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
He also has experience in the cinema industry as an assistant director, having worked on six feature films and more than 15 short films as a 1st and 2nd AD.
In TV, he has worked as a director and post-production coordinator on one miniseries so far.
He has also directed two music videos and worked as a First AD for multiple TV commercials.
