Diana Păroiu is a Romanian film and series producer, owner of the production company Visual Walkabout.
Diana Păroiu has produced several films including Sebastian Mihăilescu’s MAMMALIA (Berlinale Forum 2023) and Mona Nicoară & Dana Bunescu’s THE DISTANCE BETWEEN ME AND ME (Romanian Gopo for Best Documentary 2020).
Through Visual Walkabout, Diana has handled the Romanian part of shoots for Davy Chou’s Oscar-shortlisted feature RETURN TO SEOUL (Cannes Un Certain Regard 2022) and for Oscar-winning director Thomas Vinterberg’s series FAMILIES LIKE OURS (Venice World Premiere 2024).
Since 2016, Diana Păroiu has been Honorary VP of the One World Romania Association, NGO in charge of the One World Romania International Documentary & Human Rights Festival. Diana evaluates and selects projects and does mentoring work for funding bodies, festivals and markets, such as Torino Series Lab and Les Arcs Coproduction Village. Diana is an alumna of EAVE, EFP’s Cannes Producers on the Move, Torino Series Lab, Rotterdam Producers Lab. She studied at the universities of Westminster and St Andrews.
