Ana Dumitrescu began working in France and Romania as a photo-documentarist in 2007. She has collaborated with numerous media including National Geographic, Mediafax and the Gamma-Rapho agency. As an artist-photographer, she has held numerous exhibitions around the world, chronicling the lives of others.

In 2011, she turned to documentary filmmaking, focusing first on societal issues with Khaos and Même pas Peur! before turning to more intimate documentary filmmaking with Licu and Trio.
She then moved on to more intimate fiction films. Soleil Noir is her latest feature film.
