Alexandru Teodorescu, an EAVE graduate, is the director of Saga Film. All of Saga Film’s projects are linked to his name and are made under his creative and professional guidance. At Saga Film, Alexandru co-produced the Palme d'Or winner "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days," directed by Cristian Mungiu. He then turned to producing debut features, making Saga Film one of the few Romanian production companies that encourage and support young directors. Among these is Bogdan Apetri’s debut feature, "Outbound" (2011), which premiered at Locarno IFF and was awarded two FIPRESCI Prizes at Warsaw IFF and Vienna IFF. Igor Cobileanski’s debut feature, "The Unsaved" (2013), selected at Karlovy Vary and Warsaw IFF, awarded the FIPRESCI prize at Cottbus IFF.
Recently, Alexandru produced Radu Jude’s new documentary "Eight Postcards from Utopia," which will have its world premiere at Locarno Film Festival 2024, and is currently also in production with Radu Jude’s new fiction feature "Dracula Park."
